Elisabeth Hetherington and B’Rock bring to life the 18th-century ‘Virtuosa di Camera’ Francesca Cuzzoni: treasures from the Baroque repertoire of Handel, Bononcini and others, written so that she might be remembered through the centuries. The concert explores the emotional depth, vocal agility and dramatic brilliance that made Cuzzoni one of the best-known names in Europe at the time. Fiery temperament paired with extraordinary artistry.
Connecting the centuries, the programme will also highlight our contemporary times with compositions written especially for Hetherington’s voice.
